How to Connect CODEGRIP Device with CODEGRIP Suite – USB Connection

Overview:

This article provides step-by-step instructions for connecting the CODEGRIP device to the CODEGRIP Suite using a USB connection. The CODEGRIP programmer/debugger can be connected to a PC either via USB cable or Wi-Fi. This guide focuses on the USB cable connection method.


USB Cable Connection:

Follow these steps to connect the CODEGRIP device to the PC using a Type-C USB cable:

  1. Start CODEGRIP Suite
    Open the CODEGRIP Suite software on your PC.

  2. Connect CODEGRIP Device to PC
    Plug the CODEGRIP device into your PC using a Type-C USB cable.

  3. Check the CODEGRIP Device Status
    Ensure the Active LED on the CODEGRIP device is turned ON, indicating a successful connection with the PC.

  4. Initiate Device Scanning

    • In the CODEGRIP Suite, click on CODEGRIP from the left-side menu.
    • Next, click on SCANNING.
    • Then click on the SCAN DEVICES button.
  5. Scan and List Devices
    The CODEGRIP Suite will scan for all available CODEGRIP devices. A list of detected devices will appear.

  6. Select Your Device
    Find your device in the list of available devices and click on the USB icon on the right side of your device’s entry.

  7. Confirm Connection in Status Line
    In the CODEGRIP Suite, the USB icon in the bottom status line will become activated, confirming that the device is successfully connected and ready for use.
