USB UART 2 click – providing USB isolation
Posted by Lana Vulic on 01 June 2017 01:07 PM

USB or Universal Serial Bus really doesn’t need an introduction, it is the most common way of connecting peripherals to a computer. USB ports and cables can be seen anywhere. Personal computers, mobile phones, cameras, printers, e-book readers, etc.

But when you are using an USB cable to connect some large industrial equipment or medical applications, the connection needs to be isolated. Our new click, USB UART 2 click, is the perfect solution for this type of situation.

USB UART 2 click

USB UART 2 click carries the ADUM4160BRWZ USB port isolator. The click is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply. It communicates with the target microcontroller over UART interface.

For more information about the click, see the product page.

CAN Isolator click – provides isolated CAN communication
Posted by Lana Vulic on 10 May 2017 02:49 PM

CAN communication makes one think of the game you play as a child, with two metal cans and a piece of string. You say something into the can, and your friend listens on the other end. Well, CAN communication protocol works something like that, but it’s a bit more high-tech. CAN Isolator click makes sure that this communication is protected.

CAN Isolator click

CAN Isolator click carries the ADM3053 signal and power isolated CAN transceiver with an integrated isolated DC-to-DC converter. The click is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply. The click carries a DB 9-pin male connector.

Protect your design against dangerous electrical voltage spikes. Eliminate ground loops.

For more information about the CAN Isolator click, see the product page.

I2C Isolator 2 click – carrying ADM3260 dual I2C isolator
Posted by Lana Vulic on 28 April 2017 12:36 PM

Right after SPI Isolator click we have another click board™ for isolation — I2C Isolator 2 click. The click provides I2C lines and power isolation for slave devices. Protect your project from stray electrical currents.

I2C Isolator 2 click

I2C Isolator 2 click provides I2C lines and power isolation for slave devices. It carries the ADM3260 dual I2C isolator with an integrated DC-to-DC converter. The click supports up to 150 mW of isolated power conversion.

I2C Isolator 2 click is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply.

You will not find a Libstock page for this click, as the click does not require one.

For more information about the I2C Isolator 2 click see the product page.
